everybody tells me
that i'm pretty and so nice
smart, intelligent, beautiful
generous, caring and wise
everybody tells me
i'm lucky to have such skill
but they're the true lucky ones
they don't have to take a pill
a pill that makes a chemical
that affects your mind
without this special chemical
life wouldn't seem so kind
without my little magic pills
the world seems full of despair
self esteem and happy thoughts
are precious and quite rare
thanks to science, i have these pills
that make me feel giddy and gay
and every time i start to feel down
my sorrows can melt away
