Make a memory with your children,
spend some time to show you care;
toys and trinkets can't replace those
precious moments that you share.!
A happy person is not a person
in a certain set of circumstances,
but rather a person with a certain
set of attitudes.
The capacity to care is the thing
that gives life its deepest meaning
and significance.
A child's life is a piece of paper
on which every passerby
leaves a mark.
Be ever sure the mark you leave
is one that will last a lifetime
in a positive light.
Nothing is as delicate as a "childs heart"
Nothing is as strong
as "gentleness"
or
as gentle as "strength"
Love, true love, is that
which can give the most without
asking or demanding
anything in return.

Life is a work of art,
designed by the one who lives it.....
Children have a remarkable talent
talent for not taking the adult world
with the kind of respect we are so
confident it ought to be given....
They refuse to appreciate the gravity
of our monumental concerns,
while we forget
that if we were to become more
like children our concerns might
not be so momumental.
Take the time to laugh,
it's the music of the soul.
Sent to me by our dear friend Liz
and I found this so special, that I in turn
would love to share this you.
Subject: An Interview with God
I dreamed I had an interview with God.
"Come in," God said. "So, you would like to
interview Me?"
"If you have the time," I said. God smiled and
said: "My time is eternity and is enough to do
everything; what questions do you have in mind
to ask me?"
"What surprises you most about mankind?"
God answered:
"That they get bored of being children,
are in a rush to grow up,
and then long to be children again.
That they lose their health to make money
and then lose their money to restore their
health.
That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present, such that they live
neither for the present nor the future.
That they live as if they will never die,
and they die as if they had never lived..."
God's hands took mine and we were silent for
while and then I asked...
"As a parent, what are some of life's lessons
you want your children to learn?"
God replied with a smile:
"To learn that they cannot make anyone love
them.
What they can do is to let themselves be loved.
To learn that what is most valuable
is not what they have in their lives,
but who they have in their lives.
To learn that it is not good
to compare themselves to others.
All will be judged individually on their own
merits, not as a group on a comparison basis!
To learn that a rich person is
not the one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.
To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in persons we love,
and that it takes many years to heal them.
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that there are persons
that love them dearly, but simply
do not know how to express or
show their feelings.
To learn that money can buy everything
but happiness.
To learn that two people can look at the same
thing and see it totally different.
To learn that a true friend in someone who
knows everything about them...and likes them
anyway.
To learn that it is not always enough
that they be forgiven by others,
but that they have to forgive themselves."
I sat there for a while enjoying the moment.
I thanked Him for his time and for all that
He has done for me and my family, and He
replied, "Anytime. I'm here 24 hours a day.
All you have to do is ask for me, and I'll
answer."
People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did, but
people will never forget
how you made them feel.

can be short and easy to speak,
but their "echoes" are truly

I AM ONLY ONE.....
but still, I am one.
I cannot do everything.
And because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do the something I can.

Faith is to believe what
we do not see,
and the reward of Faith
is to see what we believe
~Augustine
It Couldn't Be Done
Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But with a chuckle he replied
That maybe it couldn't, but be would be one,
Who wouldn't say so until he tried.
So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin,
On his face; if he worried he hid it.
He started to sing,he tackled the thing,
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: "Oh you'll never do that;
At least, no one has ever done it."
But he took off his coat and he took of
his hat,
And the first thing ne knew, he'd begun it.
With the lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or 'quiddit',
He started to sing as he tackled the thing,
That couldn't be done.....and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you,
one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle that thing,
That cannot be done and you'll do it.

Great Opportunities to help others seldom
come,
but small ones surround us everyday.

Only those who risk going too far
can possibly find out how far one can go.
~T.S. Eliot
Journeys bring power and love
back into you.
If you can't go somewhere
move in the passage ways of the self.
They are like the shafts of light,
Always changing, and you change.
When you explore them.
Rumi
One hundred years from now......
It will not matter
What kind of car I drove,
What kind of house I lived in,
How much money
I had in my bank account,
Nor what my clothes looked like.
But one hundred years from now......
The world may be a little better,
Because I was important
In the life of a child.

What is Success?
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by
a healthy child, a garden
patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know that even on elife has breathed
easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Do It Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical,
and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, People may accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some
false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone
could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
