Aaron James Badertscher

Aaron was killed on August 27, 1993 by a drunk driver.

Drinking and driving kills far to many people everyday and all too often it is an innocent bystander.

Please don't drink and drive.

This picture was taken about one month before Laurie Lichtel got in her car with a blood alcohol level of .26 and killed my brother. He was 14 years old. The only son of an only son. My parents were crushed, my sisters and I felt empty. How do you cope with such a tragedy? Unfortunately, too many people are forced to do so everyday.

Aaron was born on January 24, 1979 to Jim and Sue Badertscher. He had four sisters, Tami, Jennifer, Barbi and Tricia. We lived in Ghent, NY. Aaron liked football, motocross and basketball among other things. He was a great kid.

We Love You Aaron

You were only fourteen
When the Lord took you away
A special place he had for you
Beside Him on that day.

The mission that he took you for
Of this, we’ll never know
But only wish that on that day
You didn’t have to go.

Remember that we’re near
Our family’s strength will comfort us
And help to dry our tears.

Our hearts will smile with memories
Our love will see us through
