LEGEND~†~Assassin Rules~
LEGEND Assasin Page
Assassinations are attempts to rid yourself of an enemy.....or gain new ones. In order to AA in LEGEND, you must be regulated with a number. You can apply for the number through the AA Director. All races, mortal, half-breeds and immortals, but in the end, the assassin can only roll 2d dice. AA/MAA cannot take place during a Mass Spar but after or before, not during. Assassins are paid in gold when hired, but are given exps from the Assassin Director when they submit the AA for validation: 150 x the final score of the AA.
There are no havens in LEGEND. All assassin information must be stated in profile/webpage: Enhancers, Numbers, Contract #s and so on and on. It is considered good Role-playing to make sure the target is in the room and not Afk when you are ready to call the string. You are to gather 5 lines to show why you should be allowed to AA that person, whether it be a threat or something. We want to see.
You are allowed to use three enhancers in an MAA/AA, elemental are not counted in those three, so you can use three enhancers and elemental if you own one in LEGEND and it is registered through the HCs. The perception dice is as this: 2d20.
Perception is rolled after the assassin has stated his stuff which is done OOC, so no, your character/target does not know who is doing the AA unless spotted in perception rolls. The target has 5 minutes in which to state dice, enhancers, and BGs. BGs roll perception before target.
Assassins cannot run anytime during an AA but nor can a target unless target gets perception. Meaning, they call OOC and you decide to leave the room and not take the AA even though you are in LEGEND, and haven't rolled perception yet....Then you will be dead with no rezz. Assassins should not be the only one to lay everything on the line.
The target is allowed 5 BGs at one time, it has to be stated in both profile/webpage of the BGed and the BGer. All races can be MAAed but there are certain rules. Mortals can only be MAAed if the assassins are under d70 and that is only two assassins, above d70 and the assassin has to go alone. Immortals and Half-breeds can be MAAed with 3 assassins. No more than 3 assassins can be used at one time. After the AA/MAA is done and the target is killed, 24 hours are given to get rezz. If no rezz is done, then that person is dead in LEGEND with no rezz and will be placed on the LEGEND Dead Heads page.
All MAA/AAs are given a 2 minute punt due to the server problems that some have. Exps from AAs are 150 x the final score. At no time does an assassin have to reveal who hired them for the AA, or give forth the contracts. In any perception roll, you must get 2 hp unless an enhancer changes that.
The choices a person has a target in an AA is Flee or Fight. Fleeing means you leave that room right then and there, not returning to it. Fighting means the AA commences and from there, who knows. If the BG spots the assassin in the BG perception roll, they can warn the target to run or they can stay if the target decides to stay and help fight in the DM afterwards if the person survives the attack. If they fail perception then there is nothing that they can do. When a target is warned by the BG and decides to leave the room, then they do so and safely.
When the target's turn come and they roll, either pass or fail and then the AA commences. If they fail, then they have no idea that the AA is going on and continue about their business. The only way a person can know their assassin(s) is the AA failing in the kill point, passing perception, or the assassin(s) admitting the kill.
When the AA starts, the assassin(s) move first. Now if they don't kill the target in one blow, then the assassin is known and the AA DM begins from there. Target can be rezz if killed in the AA or the DM that follows afterwards. If the assassin is killed, he is dead with no rezz. Assassin can leave when target is dead but if still alive, the person may strike back with the 2d counter hit. Assassin can be killed at this time. If not, then it goes on to the AA DM.
Dice used in an AA and counter strike by target are 2d. After that, the two [Or more if MAA] revert to full guild dice. There is no turning back once you accept an AA.

Now, if the kill is unsuccessful as above and they don't spot in perception, yes the target is given once again, the choice, fight or flee..though most fight.
In the AA DM, all races go to 80. No 40/60/80. Just a flat out 80 for everyone in the DM afterwards.
Mass AAs
Now all these rules apply to MAAs as well. Three assassins are the limit in MAAs. Mortals can be MAAed by two assassins only and they have to hold dice lower than d70 in order to do so.
If perception is done on one assassin and the others are not spotted, that assassin can strike if the target chooses to stay and fight but they are known. If the target is still alive then it moves to the next assassin if the target should win perception then he may choose to fight or flee. In which case if he runs the third assassin is no longer necessary but if he decides to fight then the second assassin makes his move and it moves to the third assassin etc.
Target does not fight back until each assassin has completed their move then the target may fight back if he chooses but may only strike the assassin[s] he won perception on.
If the target is still alive after all of this then it would move on into the DM and would be played out just like a Mass DM.
In the event that both are wounded but still alive and it moves into the auto DM. It is 80 Hps to kill in a DM AA, that's it.
