Success Stories

The following messages were sent to me from people
that were able to find their old friends through this website.
If you have a success story to share, please let me know.

Thanks,

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS REUNITED

Dear Garry:
I can't begin to thank you enough for having this website that alumni's can turn to, to locate old friends, separated by time. Because of this site, I have now located five people that I have been trying to locate for over 33 years.  Today, I had the privilege of getting together with two of those friends.  It turns out that they only live 40 miles from me.  We enjoyed a full day of reminiscing. Laughing, crying and remembering great times when life was so simple. Please don't get rid of this wonderful site.  I am looking forward to visiting this site often, so that I can keep up with what's happening 'ISLAND TREES, WHERE BEHIND YOU, SHOW YOUR PEP, WE'LL CHEER YOU ALL THE WAY, RARARA."
Please be sure to keep us informed of future class reunions. Thank so very much for all the hard work you have done in putting this site together.  I remain a loyal alumni from the class of 1967

Best Friends Reunite!

Dear Garry,

Thank you so much for your help in finding my best friend from school.
Vera and I hadn't seen each other in over 25 years.
We lost contact not long after graduation in 1971.
Through your website I was able to contact her.
She lives 250 miles away now, but in August she was on Long Island and we saw each other and planned a weekend with our husbands.
My husband and I went to her home in early October and we had the time of our lives. It was like we didn't slip a beat. We were 18 again. We now plan to keep in touch and are planning another visit in February.
I have missed her over the years and can't thank you enough.
Please post my note on your website so that everyone can see that it is possible to go home again!

Thank you,
Denise (Pinho) Siegel

Dear Garry,

I just want to thank you for all your hard work.
The IT site is great and I've re-established a lot of
old friendships that went by the wayside years ago.

We're all having a ball and a bunch of us "girls" have been
getting together pretty much on a monthly basis for a night out.

Thanks again.

Garry,

I don't know how to thank you for re-uniting my best friend in school, Diane Lampman (Williams) and myself. We have been searching for each other for over 28 years and because of you we were re-united. In fact, Diane and her husband, Richard only live about 2 1/2 hours from us. We see each other quite often and e-mail each other all the time.

You re-united us last December. Diane and Richard drove up to Las Vegas and spent a couple of days with us the day after Christmas. Opening up the door and seeing Diane for the first time in 28 years was such a happy memory for me and I have you to thank.

One funny thing about our first meeting - Diane had laryngitis! We had 28 years of catching up to do and she could hardly speak! We still had a great weekend and have seen each other many times since.

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!

Class of '60 Reunion

Hi Garry,

I can not thank you enough for the website you have provided us with. If only you could have been a fly on the wall this weekend. It was so special. Words can't express the emotion and love that was poured out this weekend.

Everyone shed a few tears. The toughest jocks, the brains, the roudy all shed a tear or two. It was the most emotional experience for all of us. It must have been because it was our first ever and so much time had elapsed. I don't think any of us expected the reunion to be half as wonderful as it was.

It was all thanks to you and the wonderful website you have provided, that enabled us to find each other. Thank you and God bless.

Fondly,

Merle

I have to thank you for reuniting me with my best friend, Pat Battles. We lost contact 22 years ago and I wasn't able to find her. Last October you sent me an email from her and this Thanksgiving I'm visiting her in California. We're having such a wonderful time thanks to you! Keep up the great work.

Donna Poyner, class of 72

Dear Garry,
Thanks to your hard work and fabulous web site, I have been able to arrange the best alumni wrestling match ever.
It will be on Jan 5th at 7pm, 2001 at ITHS.
I have had the pleasure of reuniting teammates from as far back as 1960 and they are coming from all over to meet again in our old gym!
In addition, I have reunited Sigma fraternity brothers, some who have not been in touch for over 35 years!
They will also be joining us at the Wrestling Alumni match... they are coming in from Florida, Boston and as far away as Venezuela!!
Anyone who is interested in joining us is welcome...it is only a few weeks away!
Thanks again for making it so much easier to find very dear friends again from a great school!!

Carol Carrozza class of 1973

Wanted to thank you Garry for being so instrumental in helping us find people for the Class of 60', 61' and 62'.

We finished up our reunion today and it was more than we could ever hope for.

We all had a blast at the 56 Fire Fighters' Squadron on Friday night. Our event at The Huntington Town House was awesome! I could not believe how good everyone looked and it was as if the years had never passed. What a ball!!!! The brunch on Sunday morning at Coco's was fantastic!!

The only bad part was saying goodbye to warm and dear friends. I am asking each and everyone to please stay in touch. Now that we've found each other, let's not lose each other.

Special thanks goes out to Maureen Staley, Joanne Morreal Hintz, Maryann Siclari Douglas & Meryl Shefts Feldman. You are all very special people.
