anyone that would like to share them with us. This should be a lot of fun
to see how we've grown. Arlene would prefer that the pictures be sent to her in jpg format and that they aren't too big. If you have copies that you can send through snail mail, you can contact Arlene for her address. To contact Arlene click HERE.
Dear Friends and Island Treers,
I am writing to let you know of one of the many endeavors I have taken on in my so-called "spare time." Now that I am well into the second half of my life, I have taken a strong interest in learning about issues (psychological and otherwise) facing those over fifty. I was struck by the lack of realistic and positive information out there, so I decided to do something about it and created the website www.FiftyandFurthermore.com. www.FiftyandFurthermore.com is an interactive and informational website that features articles by me and multiple "experts" on a variety of topics, as well as a blog, a humor page and biographies of notable "sages." Since so many of you are over fifty yourselves, I hope you will visit the site and participate in discussions. Additionally, I invite you to email me personally if you are interested in contributing an article on a topic of your choice. We always welcome new "experts" to the site who can offer relevant information, and in return, it is a great way to promote yourself and share your creativity on an already-established website. I have a representative newsletter below which further highlights some of the features you will find on www.FiftyandFurthermore.com, and I encourage you to join me in my mission to help society know that "the best is yet to come." I hope you have been finding equal success in all of your endeavors, and I look forward to receiving your feedback on www.FiftyandFurthermore.com. Life is too hard to do alone - Reach out! Dr. Dorree Lynn Calling all Bulldogs From Dorree Lynn, Ph.D. (Doris Stein class of 1959) My first book: Getting Sane Without Going Crazy: A Guide for the Perplexed Is now available on Amazon.com and all major book sites as well as (hopefully) your local book store. You can also get a personally inscribed copy (you may request the inscription or leave it up to me) directly from my website: So far the response has been pretty terrific. I am also doing a media and book signing tour and I promise to let you know if and when I'll be in your neck of the woods. It would be great to reconnect. I am excited, delighted, and anxious as can be. And, very glad this phase of writing is over. But, not so glad, that I haven't started another book. It takes forever to teach us old bulldogs new tricks, such as when enough is really enough. Thanks for helping, bearing with me and supporting me a lifetime ago. Hugs to all. My byline is below.
