If you remember this band you will remember Doro Pesch, the German vocalist with the powerful lungs! The cover has an intense drawing by Geoffrey Gillespie and the album was released in 1987. I believe this was their best album and all the songs are strong and deep even to this day! From the mighty anthem ALL WE ARE to the arduously emotional ballad, FUR IMMER. I can still listen to this and enjoy it immensely! Why they broke up, I’ll never understand?! They were doing great!

Sacrilege-Within The Prophecy
This album was released in 1987. Fronted by female vocalist , Lynda (Tam) Simpson. I guess I could call this style of music thrash metal. I wonder what happened to this band? Not that they were great, but I’m curious. The band was definitely good, except that at times they would drag the music for so long and I would impatiently be waiting for her to sing, and this would definitely annoy me! They had doomy lyrics and their best song off this album is SPIRIT CRY.

Cannibal Corpse-The Bleeding
I’m really disappointed with this one! Cannibal Corpse could have done better. They can not reach the status of an album such as BUTCHERED AT BIRTH, which is their best one! On this album they are less aggressive and raw. Yet, the vocals are better on THE BLEEDING than in TOMB OF THE MUTILATED. Unfortunately the music just isn’t as good.

This unruly creature has such talent that it leaves you mesmerized! This album was recorded live at the Cathedral of St. John The Divine, in NYC. If you really want to know what Diamanda Galas is all about this is the perfect album to purchase! It includes a booklet with some of the live photos taken during her presentations. And it has an excellent explanation of her mission. Lyrics are also included for your pleasure. My favorites areSONO L’ANTICRISTO, THIS IS THE LAW OF THE PLAGUE, and THERE ARE NO MORE TICKETS TO THE FUNERAL. This is amazing! Diamanda Galas is known for singing in various languages and it is truly accentuated here! Her work makes you feel every inch of anger, pain, fear in your body and beyond! If you seek music beyond the bizarre, this is ultimately recommended!!!

This music is deep, mystical and so melancholic I can’t help but loving it! Michael Gira’s vocals are deep and dark while Jarboe’s voice is seductively sweet. Jarboe has recently gone solo and I’m sure dying to get my hands on her new project. My favorite songs off this timeless masterpiece is GOD DAMN THE SUN, this song is lyrically and musically overwhelming! Once this tape is over you just want more, and I for one have to get another of their albums. I’ve played this so many times I’m surprised it’s not broken.

An obscure dose of reality! This is great for those of you who enjoy Radio Werewolf and Diamanda Galas. This CD contains a mixture of eerie music. Wendy Van Dusen’s demented child-like, and playful vocals create a strange atmosphere along with howling and sounds of dark reality offered here. Some of their inspirations would explain the lyrical and musical elements of this great art. 13 songs are featured here and other goodies to make you lose yourself in other dimensions. This is something that should definitely be checked out! My favorites on this masterpiece is NIGHT OF HELL, ANTICIPATING DARKNESS, SILENCE,and CAPTURED ANGELS. Truly Excellent!
