The Dachshund Club of Greater Syracuse, Inc. is a not-for-profit membership organization of dachshund fanciers. It was founded in 1964. The Dachshund Club of Greater Syracuse is licensed by the American Kennel Club.
Our parent club is the Dachshund Club of America.

OUR MEMBERSHIP DEMOGRAPHICS:
Our membership is made up of breeders, exhibitors, obedience trainers, tracking participants, field trial and earthdog competitors, and pet owners. All of our members have a common bond... a LOVE FOR DACHSHUNDS.
CLUB ACTIVITIES:
Our meetings are held regularly in Syracuse, NY. Each year, we hold our Specialty show in coordination with the Salt City cluster shows held in Syracuse, NY in late March. We are involved in dachshund rescue. Our club also has a breeder referral program for people looking for dachshunds from reputable, and ethical breeders.
OUR UPCOMING MATCH:
We will be holding an ALL-BREED Fun Match on Sunday, April 22, 2001 at the SOTC Training Center in North Syracuse, NY. All breeds are welcome to join us for conformation, obedience, and Junior Handling events. Bring your lunch, your dog, and have some fun!!!!
