Autumn is a beautiful
time of the year, and Long Island is no
exception. With the days growing shorter
and the weather turning cooler, Mother
Nature takes out her paint brush and
goes to work on the landscape. Long
Island has many maple trees, which,
along with other trees, burst
into various shades of yellow, red, and
orange. I've tried to capture some of
this color in the pictures on the next
page, but
believe me, you have to see it to
get the full beauty of Mother Nature's
