So you want to write a novel.......
Welcome! This is an exercise based on the novels one reads in high school as part of
"required reading." Please do not be offended if in any way you interpret this as an attack
on writers, a certain book, a teacher's choice of study material, or a certain style novel, this is not intended
as an attack on anything and I assure you it is not, it is merely based on observation. Without any
further delay, here is my contribution to the underlying plot of your next novel!.....
Writing an "Original" Novel
In every novel, the author includes
certain elements of the plot to keep the readers' interest. In this exercise, you will be able to choose
exactly which of these elements is included in the plot of your novel. "My Novel?!" you say.
Yes, your novel. This exercise will provide only the background structure for the novel, not the details,
we can leave that to your imagination. As you progress, you will discover that there are multiple "plot twists"
to choose from. When you reach the end of your novel, you will have composed a full story line and will
only have to add the details. Just print the last sheet of your story and there you have it!
Enjoy!
