Thanks for visiting. I hope to answer your questions concerning The Feminist Youth of Rochester, NY Web Ring here, and I will provide you with the opportunity to submit your site to the ring.
First off, let's cover what an appropriate addition would consist of...
* I'd like to keep the ring regional, so if you are based in Rochester, NY or the surrounding area (other large cities upstate are ok), you're doing fine so far. Continue.
* Your page can be about you, your organization, your business, your projects, whatever. Just as long as you and your page have something to do with women's rights, and you support the fact that we should defend them at all costs!
* The "youth" part of this ring's name is where it gets tricky. I would like to provide a network for young area feminists like me (21 years old in 1999, and moved to stand up for what I believe in), where we can show support, share ideas, and trade information about events in our area. I see a serious lack of people close to my age (I'm talking under 30 here) who show concern for women's rights. So if you're around 30 years of age or younger, I'm strongly encouraging you to submit your site.
* Hey! Men can be feminists! All sexes are welcome!
* Obviously, your page should be female friendly. It does not, however, need to be anally retentive and ridiculously politically correct. Free expression is an asset.
* I'm a big supporter of reproductive choice. Don't waste time submitting your site if you're anti-choice.
Here's the submission form. You'll have 3 weeks from submitting it to add the html code (down below) to your page. If you don't, you'll be removed from my list of things to care about, and you'll have to submit your site again.
Here's the html code and graphic you'll need to add to your web page once it's submitted. You'll also need to substitute my contact info with yours, and where it says --id--, you'll need to replace that with your id number (which you'll get when you submit your sign up info.) View the page source, and cut and paste the html into your page. (By the way, this web ring stuff below is not set up to be 100% operational. Click here to be thrown back into the ring.)
