Lord of Nightmares (L-sama, The Golden Lord)
"Darkness beyond blackest pitch, deeper than the deepest night, Lord of Darkness shining like gold upon the Sea of Chaos." The first part of the Giga Slave describes she who is the mother of all things, the Lord of Nightmares.
She is responsible for the creation of the four worlds, and all that resides within them. L-sama, as Lina says in Try, is both the power of good and evil. However, she is usually associated with the mazoku race because the spell which summons her, the Giga Slave, has the power to destroy the world and return it to a state of chaos.
The blood talismans that Lina eventually ends up with, were originally given to Lei Magnus by L-sama. She is the only one who could take a part of the strength of the four Dark Lords of te four worlds, and put them in the talismans.
L-sama herself is never really seen in the anime, except for the golden glow that consumes Lina in Next. L-sama does take the form of a young woman who looks a lot like Lina, in vol. 8 of the manga.
