Poem- To Father

When you were here I didn’t want you to leave, for it was here that I was conceived!

Now that you are gone I can’t help but to think, or write you a poem of my love in ink.

With everyday that drags on, my longing for your presence is increased, but my mind won’t accept the fact, YOU’RE DECEASED.

Your memory will live forever within me, because you’re my father and without you I would not be.

At first I thought it was your fault, instead of remembering the good times that I’ve kept in a vault.

I now regret not cherishing the times we spent together, but you are in a place that is by far better.

All this time has passed and I was too sad, but I can now say,

Good-Bye Dad.
