In the life of Mary Johnson there were many things destroying her existence.  She was a widow, who at the time of her husband’s death, became homeless.  However, that was the least of her problems.  Mary was a person who suffered from multiple personalities and her husband was the only one who understood her.

As Marcia, Mary was a carefree and life-loving person.  She was a very happy individual who always looked forward to the next day.  She would confront her everyday problems with a positive attitude, following along with a smile.  Nothing seemed to ruin her day.  All her friends looked up to her and knew that she was the pride of her husband and family.

As Michelle, Mary was depressed and unhappy.  Unlike Marcia, she never looked forward to anything.  Not even her own life.  She tried committing suicide five times, and had to be taken to a psychiatric center for help.  She would stare all day at the floor, looking for answers which she knew couldn’t be answered.
