california: what, am I dreamin'?

Ask not why -- a scant three months have passed since my
previous trip west, yet  I find myself here once again, this time
on a ten day sojourn, examining the Golden State's southern coast
in detail, visiting deserts low and high -- hell, everything
from Tijuana to Sausalito.

Herewith, 9,000 words, thoughts, ramblings, a mango smoothie
or two, lots of strong coffee, some stellar views, mountain hikes, 
freeway traffic and a little sand in the shoes.

4/4 -- tues -- re-acclimating, and five hours on a plane

4/5 -- wed -- south central and a lot of beach: depression in degrees

4/6 -- thurs -- one day in the valley: in search of porn stars

4/7 -- fri -- fish tacos, low deserts and pastel pant suits: san diego

4/8 -- sat -- near-misses in manhattan beach, life around town 

4/9 -- sun -- road trip.com! santa cruz, silicon valley, san francisco

4/10 -- mon -- hangin loose in OC, spice up your life: thai town

4/11 -- tues -- joshua tree and the high desert

4/12 -- wed -- Palm Springs to Malibu, and a big mess in between

4/13 -- thurs -- now get the hell out of here: homeward bound
