I Wish I Were A Hummingbird
I wish I
were a hummingbird,
Flitting
to and fro.
A tiny
bird with lightning speed,
How
quickly I'd come and go.
I wish I
were a hummingbird,
Traveling
near and far;
Glittering
in the sunlight;
Yet
reaching for a star.
I wish I
were a hummingbird,
Sipping
nectar from a rose;
And
wearing pretty feathers
Instead
of these plain clothes.
I wish I
were a hummingbird,
Soaring
high and free.
If I
could be a hummingbird,
How
happy I would be.

Plants That Attract Hummers
Hummingbirds are known for their amazing "hovering" ability, during which they beat their wings 80 times a second. While flying they can move backward and in any other direction as easily as forward, making them more advanced, better adapted and overall cooler than any human-made flying machine so far. I love hummingbirds and have planted many perennials and annuals to attract them. Below you will find a list of a few of these plants. Thanks for visiting !
