The Story

    Now there's one of three reasons why you are in this room right now: either you're lost, you were playing around and ended up here, or you really are a fan of Chris Wilson and you finally found a website that is devoted to him. Well, whatever the reason, here is the lowdown on Chris Wilson--who he is, what he's doing, and why you'll be hearing his name soon. 

    It was a cold, boring Saturday morning and I was sitting on the couch watching television--not one of my usual hobbies. A show on MTV, called The Cut, caught my attention and soon my sister and I were hooked to it. The Cut is a talent show for musician hopefuls, and the final ten performers were going to be on, LIVE, in a few hours. So my sister and I sat there and watched about 5 episodes of the show in a row. I was watching the semifinals when a very attractive young man appeared on the screen. His name was Chris Wilson. I soon learned that Chris used to be overweight, but recently lost about 100 pounds. I also learned, which took me by surprise, that he is originally from Brockport, New York--about a 20 minute drive from my house and a favorite town of mine. But what truly made me become a fan was the fact that he, unlike the other musicians on The Cut, performed pop-y, acoustic music. The song he performed, titled "The Way That She Loves Me", was a beautiful. I immediately fell in love with his style and voice. Anyways, he won the semifinals, and was going to appear in the Finals that afternoon. I HAD to watch! So I held off on all my other responsibilities and, instead, watched Chris perform in the finals. He was fifth out of ten performers, and instantly took the lead. I routed for him all the way, but the 9th performer, a rapper named S.I.L.K.-E took away the prize--a music video on MTV. I was really disappointed. But I wanted to know more about him and I wanted a copy of his music.

    So over the course of the next month I did some research. I found out that a friend of mine has a cousin that is friends with Chris. She told me that he sang "Amazing Grace" at her grandmother's funeral. I also found that his picture and his performance are both available at MTV's website...click here to watch him perform!, then click on his picture.  And although he placed second on the show, he placed first in the online viewer's choice poll (I voted for him!). But the most information I got about him was when a friend of mine called and told me that there was an article about him in the local newspaper. The article indicated that he would be appearing in a local music store to sell CDs and sign autographs. Although I wanted to go more than anything, a winter storm kept me from making the trip. But to my luck, my aunt and uncle went for me since they lived closer than I. While meeting Chris, they bought me his promotional CD and had him sign it. They also got me his autographed picture.

    Well, that's the story of how I discovered Chris Wilson. And now, I'm going to take all the information I know now so that YOU can get all the details, too. There's no doubt in my mind that Chris Wilson will soon be a household name...and I will be the first fan to have made him a website!
