Commanding Officer - The Commanding Officer (CO) is the Commander in Chief of his or her own vessel. Here's his/her responsibilities:
-Commands all officers on board his/her ship
-Authorizes all activities that goes on
Executive Officer - The Executive Officer (XO) is the assistant to the Commanding Officer, and has the following responsibilities:
- Commands ship in case CO is MIA, KIA or not available.
- Can authorize most activities, unless it endangers the ship or crew as a whole
Chief of Operations - The Chief of Operations (OPS) is the head of the Operations department of the ship. This is his/her responsibilities:
-Check ship simultaniously to find any possible damage for Engineering to fix.
-Allocate power to certain areas of the ship.
-Announce any and all damage made on the ship
Assistant Chief of Operations - The Assistant Chief of Operations (AOPS) assists the Chief of Operations with his/her responsibilities (See Above), and has an additional responsibility:
-Take command of Operations if Chief is KIA, MIA or Not Available at that period in time.
Chief Tactical Officer - The Chief Tactical Officer (Tac) is the officer with some of the most important and difficult responsibilities:
-Officer that fires ships weapons upon order of CO (CO must specify whether to hit a specific area or the whole target in general)
-Officer that may receive, send, and hold to messages from other ships, planets, targets, etc. (AKA Communications Officer)
Chief Strategic Officer - The Chief Strategic Officer (SO) is the officer with the Tactical know-how on the ship. The responsibilites of this position are:
-Officer plans for any attacks, defensive movements and asks the CO or XO for verification
-Officer is sometimes known as the 2nd XO because of his responsibility to commanding the vessel if the CO and XO are MIA, KIA or Not Available.
Chief Navigation Officer - The Chief Navigation Officer (Nav) has the following responsibilites, since he/she is the Helm of the ship and head of Navigation:
- Set Course and executing attack patterns ordered by CO, XO and/or SO
- Creates Jumpgates when ship needs to enter Hyperspace
- Executes Attack Patterns or Evasive Manuevers (See Above) *Must be specified what attack pattern or evasive manuever is being used*
Assistant Navigation Officer - Assist the Chief Navigation Officer, also has responsibility of:
- Taking command of Navigation if Chief is MIA, KIA or Not Available
Earth Alliance Liason Officer - This officer has the following responsibilities:
- Acts as a representative to Earth Force (Not to be mixed up with Psi-Corp Rep. or InterStellar Alliance Agent)
- May speak for Earth Alliance if in a diplomatic or crucial situation
Earth Alliance Diplomatic Officer - This Officer has the following responsibilities:
- Acts as an offical Diplomatic Officer aboard the ship, and may work in negotiations or First Contact situations.
- May authorize a cease-fire if hostile vessel follows his words
Counselor - This Officer has the following responsibilities:
- Acts a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Friend, Etc.
- May authorize removal of CO, XO or any Dept. Head temporarily if he/she might endanger the crew as a whole in any way.
Security:
Chief of Security (Sec) - This officer is the head of the Security Department and always has the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He/She has the following responsibilites:
- Able to authorize or go on Intership raids even without consent of CO if they intruders are potential dangerous to the ship (EX: Raiders, Sabouteurs, Etc.)
- Makes ship run smoothly at ALL times, making sure no riots, murders, or anything of the such shall occur
Assistant Chief of Security (Asec) - This officer is the Assitant Head of Security and has one special responsibility in addition to the ones listed above (See Chief of Security):
- Take command of Security if Chief is MIA, KIA or Not Available
Security Officer - This officer only has to protect other officers in combat, or fight other people along side his fellow security officers.
Engineering:
Chief Engineering Officer (Eng) - The Chief Engineer is responsible with several things:
- Maintaining the ship in good order, even through battle
- Report in AT LEAST once an hour to the bridge with status reports
- Allocate power to systems if ordered by Operations, CO or XO
Assistant Chief Engineering Officer (Aeng) - The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible with everything that the Chief is responsible with, and in addition is also responsible with:
- Taking command of Engineering if Chief is MIA, KIA, or Not Available
Engineering Officer - The Engineer has a simple job: Follow the Chief or Assistant Chief's orders and do the job.
Sciences:
Chief Science Officer (Sci) - The Chief Science Officer is responsible with monitoring the Science station on board the ship and has the following other responsibilites:
- Scans enemy or neutral vessels for potential soft spots.
- Goes on missions on planet or base involving the sciences in one way or another
- Gives information about Stars, Nebulas, Secotrs, etc. to the CO, XO or anyone else that needs or wants to know.
Assistant Chief Science Officer (Asci) - The Assistant Chief Science Officer has the following responsibility in addition to the ones lsited above (See Chief of Sciences):
- Take command of Science Department if Chief is KIA, MIA or Not Available
Science Officer - The Science officer follows the orders of the Chief Science Officer or the Assistant Chief Science Officer.
Medical:
Chief Medical Officer - The Chief Medical Officer, in addition to being the head of the Medical Department, has the following responsibilities:
- Keep up the Hypocratic Oath, and help ANY living being, whether Good or Bad, beautiful or ugly, etc.
- May do medical procedures without consent of patient or CO IF the patient sustained life threatening damage, and must be helped.
- May remove CO, XO or any other high officer of command if seen that he/she is medically or mentally unfit for the position.
Head Nurse- The Head Nurse has the following responsibilities:
- Heads all ships nurses
- Assistant Chief Medical Officer
- Takes Command if Chief Medical Officer is MIA, KIA, or Not Available.
- Follows Chief Medical Officers responsibilities.
Nurse - Works for Head Nurse and Chief Medical Officer
Rangers:
Chief Ranger - Head of the Rangers, the Chief ranger has the following responsibilites:
- Commands all Rangers on ship
- Trains Ranger Trainees
- Follows Code of Honor
Chief Deputy Ranger - XO of the Rangers, has the following responsibilities:
- Commands all Rangers and Ranger Trainees
- Trains Ranger Trainees
- Follows Code of Honor
- Takes Command of Rangers if Chief is MIA, KIA or Not Available
Ranger - Has responsibilities of:
- Code of Honor
- Sent on missions
- Example for all Trainees
Ranger Trainee - Learning how to become a true Ranger.
Telepaths: Psi-Cop - The Psi-Cop is the Head of the Psi-Corp group on the ship, and has a rating of P-11 or P-12. Psi-Cops are used in fighting Telepathic beings, chasing Rogue Telepaths and several other things.
Psi-Corp Representative/Psi-Cop Assistant - Usually not more than a P-5 or a P-6, a Psi-Corp Representative/Psi-Cop Assistant usually comes as the representative of the Psi-Corp when neccessary, and aides the Psi-Cop in tracking down Rogues if neccessary.
Commercial Telepath - The Commercial Telepath has a Rating of P-5 and usually is used for trade agreements, diplomatic negotiations, or if hired by an outside source, interogator, though this is of course, illegal.
Pilots:
Flight Commander - Commander in Chief of ALL Pilots, if there are several flight groups, he commands them all. Usually works on board ship; rarely pilots.
Flight Leader - Commander of a Squadron, this pilot must make sure his/her own pilots don't stray and/or go AWOL. Reports often to Flight Commander with status reports.
Pilot - Flying Starfuries, pilots are the backbone of the ships defensive and offensive weapon systems.
Marines:
Marines Commanding Officer - Commands the marines; Orders all Intraship or offensive raids and Leads the marines.
Marine Executive Officer - XO of the Marines, becomes CO is CO is MIA, KIA or Not Available. Commands all Marines under him/her.
Marine - The Backbone of the offensive troop front.
Civilians
InterStellar Alliance Intel. Agent - Reports to ISA about current events on the ship.
ISN Correspondent - Does reports for ISN about the activities on this ship.
Trader - Trades goods between the Ship and other locations.
Civilian - Average day person.
