History: Thomas was born to two Russian parents, who were strongly religious in the principles of Judaism. When he was 17, he decided to leave Israel, and to join EarthForce. Even though he was 1 year younger than the requirement, because of the need for officers, he was allowed in. He joined the Starfury Corps, and within 2 years was a Squadron Commander, and a Lt. 2 years later, during the end of the Earth-Minbari war, he was made Squadron Commander on the Hepicles. He was decorated with the award for serving on the line, and was made Lt. Cmdr and XO on the Richmond, one of the first of the Omega-Class destroyers. He was promoted to Commander within 18 months, he served on the line, being 1 of the little more than 200 survivors, mostly pilots like him (He was a pilot during that battle due to the lack of Pilots), and he was given command on the Hyperion-Class cruiser Socrates shortly there after. He attained the rank of Captain at 37, a young age for most officers. When Sheridan seceded from Earth, he was one of the first to join his cause, and fought Clark’s forces. In 2261, when Clark had committed suicide and his empire fell, Ivarez gave himself up, along with Sheridan and several other "Rebellious" officers. He was tried, and cleared of all incidents 6 months later. He was then given command of the Roosevelt-class vessel Hypocrites.

2247 - Served on Battle of the Line; 1 of 200 survivors; receives Battle of the Line medal (Served as a pilot during the battle.)

2250 - Made CO of Hyperion Class Cruiser Socrates.

2255 – Made Captain

2260 - Seceded from Earth with the Socrates

2261 – Surrendered after defeating Clark’s forces along with Sheridan and rest of "Rebels"

2262 – Given command power back after hearings.

2263 – Given command of E.A.S. Hypocrites.

Personality: Captain Ivarez is a charming, witty fellow, who can come up with almost always fool-proof tactics and ideas in sitautions. He is an ideal officer, but is always open to suggestions and crtisisims and is liked by almost all.
