Episode 1: Genesis

"In recent days, a seemingly random group of individuals has emerged with what can only be described as “special” abilities. Although unaware of it now, these individuals will not only save the world, but change it forever. This transformation from ordinary to extraordinary will not occur overnight. Every story has a beginning. Volume one of their epic tale begins here…"

With a total eclipse making its way across the globe, a professor, Mohinder Suresh, learns of his father's death. Upon hearing the news, Mohinder travels to New York where he begins to uncover a secret theory involving eight individuals, all different ages and all from different backgrounds, which discover that they each have been granted unique super powers. A young male nurse tries to convince his brother that he can fly; a struggling, single mother discovers she can be in two places at once; a high school cheerleader tests her indestructibility; a drug-addicted artist paints events before they happen; and a Japanese man begins to develop his ability to stop time. Though all these heroes live in different parts of the globe and have unique abilities, they all have one thing in common -- their destiny is to save the world.

Episode 2: Don't Look Back

As Hiro travels to New York, Peter and Nathan discuss Peter's tumble off of a skyscraper. Claire's ability is nearly showcased in front of the entire school after she finds that the tape of her injury attempt is missing. After Niki finds murdered thugs in her garage, she has no recollection of the incident, and begins to think that she's losing her mind. She is then paid a visit by Social Services concerning Micah. Beat cop Matt Parker soon realizes that he can hear the thoughts of a little girl who has disappeared.

Episode 3: One Giant Leap

Nathan uses his brother Peter's tumble off a skyscraper to his campaign's advantage. Hiro tries to convince a friend that it is their destiny to travel to America to save the world, and he succeeds. Claire finds herself desperately trying to have a social life after her relationship with the football quarterback takes a dark turn relating to her powers. Niki follows a mysterious voice to the middle of a desert, while Matt and Suresh separately hunt for Sylar.

Episode 4: Collision

Suresh is finally able to track down one of his father's genetically advanced beings. In Las Vegas, Hiro tries to use his powers as an advantage while at casinos, but his plan soon backfires. As Peter reaches out to another hero in order to help them learn about their destiny, Niki stumbles upon an opportunity. Meanwhile, Claire's abilities are put to the test at a tragic bonfire, but one of Issac's paintings show that Claire's future may not be so bright; and Matt abilities are sized up by a pair of men.

Episode 5: Hiros

Confused after losing track of another block of time, Niki finds the police on her doorstep, searching for her fugitive husband D.L. Hawkins. Claire confesses to her father. Hiro and his friend get jumped by some Vegas high-rollers. Peter receives a life-changing message from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Matt secretly uses his mind-reading ability to anticipate his wife's needs. Dismayed by recent events, Suresh makes plans to return to India to lay both his father's remains and his research to rest.

Episode 6: Better Halves

Hiro and his buddy embark on their heroic journey to New York, when they are stopped by a Vegas high-roller who offers them a deal they can't refuse. As H.R.G sets up a meeting for his daughter Claire with her biological parents, she hopes that questions about her newfound indestructibility can be answered. Meanwhile, Isaac receives another confusing call from Hiro, but Peter is there this time to pick up the phone and relay a life-saving message. Suresh bids farewell to Eden as he heads back to India to bury his father. An unexpected visitor shows up at Niki's home.

Episode 7: Nothing to Hide

Facing a crisis involving her son Micah, a distraught Niki reveals her recent personal struggles to a friend. Pushing aside his own issues at home, Matt assists Audrey's investigation into another bizarre murder, but their pursuit of mysterious serial killer Sylar takes an unexpected turn. After failing to act like a "superhero" when faced with danger, Hiro questions his heroism. Nathan and his wife Heidi strategize how to win the congressional election. Claire is shocked to learn where her missing tape wound up. Meanwhile, her father is disturbed by news from one of his associates.

Episode 8: Seven Minutes to Midnight

Back in India to mourn the passing of his father, Suresh encounters mysterious dreams of the past that force him to question what path to take next. Continuing their journey to New York, Hiro and Ando stop at a diner and meet someone interesting. Intent on getting back to her normal life, Claire focuses on Homecoming preparations, unaware of what's to come. Meanwhile, H.R.G. and a surprising associate focus their attentions on another "hero."

Episode 9: Homecoming

As H.R.G. tries to protect his daughter by any means, Claire's high school homecoming turns into a frightening night. Meanwhile, Nathan and Simone work together to find Isaac's painting for Peter -- but this key to the future could lead to tragedy. Elsewhere, Hiro travels back in time to right an upsetting wrong and as Niki puts a goal in sight, Micah spends time with his dad. Still experiencing strange dreams while in India, Suresh learns of a boy that might pull him back into his father's research.

Episode 10: Six Months Ago

As the clock turns back six months for all of the "Heroes," Mohinder's father Chandra Suresh arrives in New York to begin his quest to find individuals with extraordinary abilities, and meets someone all to eager to be special. Peter celebrates his graduation from nursing school, and learns that Nathan plans to prosecute a case that could mean trouble for the entire Petrelli family. A surprise visit from her father brings out the worst in Niki. Hiro attempts to be a hero and change the future for someone important. Claire joins the cheerleading squad and makes a curious discovery. H.R.G. and the Haitian meet someone special.

Episode 11: Fallout

The tragic events in Texas have sad, serious repercussions for many of the "heroes," their families and friends. Meanwhile, shocking details about the moments leading up to Issac's predicted New York City nuclear bombing are revealed. Later, Issac's newest painting has fascinating future implications for a hero in crisis. Suresh takes the first steps along his new path. Matt and F.B.I. Agent Audrey Hanson pursue a break in the Sylar case. Horrified by Jessica's recent actions, Niki makes a tough decision to protect her family.

Episode 12: Godsend

Picking up two weeks after recent events, Nathan's determination to save a comatose Peter forces him to turn to Simone for help. Isaac's puzzling "Hiro vs. T-Rex" painting inspires Hiro and Ando to search for the pictured samurai sword. Jessica struggles against Niki's decision to turn herself into police. With his associate Eden dead and Matt on his heels, H.R.G. tries to focus on his orders regarding Sylar. After being offered a choice by the Haitian, Claire struggles with changes her decision has wrought. Taking up his father's quest, Suresh attempts to share information about who is "on the list" of people with special abilities and the threats to their lives. Meanwhile, a new hero makes a shocking debut.

Episode 13: The Fix

Chased by unknown assailants, Hiro's search for the sword takes a turn when his father appears. A cleaned up Issac dedicates himself to stopping New York's destruction -- and Peter. Claude, an invisible man with a mysterious past, might have something to teach a would-be hero. D.L. struggles with new family responsibilities as Matt opens up to his wife Janice. H.R.G. focuses on his murderous captive, Sylar. Meanwhile, after seeking out the Haitian, Claire secretly embarks on a search for her true birth parents. While working to find those on "the list," Suresh receives a surprising visitor.

Episode 14: Distractions

Hiro struggles to make his father, a corporate tycoon, and ambitious sister understand his new heroic path in life. Niki has a chance to be with D.L and Micah again, but will she really be with them? Claude attempts to teach Peter to harness his abilities, but the process could shatter Peter's faith in those closest to him. Determined to find her birth mother, Claire makes her way to a trailer park in Texas. Meanwhile, Sylar makes a shocking move against H.R.G. -- and his family.

Episode 15: Run!

While the scandalous truth about Claire's real father is revealed, her adoptive mother faces a crisis. Matt takes a job as a bodyguard for a crooked attorney, which puts him in the crosshairs of Linderman's new assassin. Hiro and Ando return to Las Vegas to find the sword, but get sidetracked by a damsel in distress. Suresh finds someone on the list and unknowingly puts himself in grave danger. Meanwhile, Simone turns to some unlikely help in her and Nathan's struggle to find Peter.

Episode 16: Unexpected

Peter painfully learns that someone close may have betrayed him and Claude. Matt's world spirals out of control when radioactive man Ted Sprague and Hana Gitelman, a fierce young woman with "wireless" mental abilities, drop into his life. After blood is spilled, Hiro makes a difficult decision about his mission. Claire is unable to contain her anger at her father.

With the election and NYC's destruction looming, Nathan has a disturbing face-to-face meeting with the shadowy Linderman. Hiro's attempt to steal the sword steers him into a grim new direction. Suresh makes a breakthrough on "the list" -- at great cost. D.L. begins to suspect all is not well at home. Isaac paints his most terrible painting yet. New "hero" Candice Wilmer makes an illusive debut.

Episode 19: .07%
