JUNIOR DIVISION 15, LADIES ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS, Whitestone, is welcoming new members. Its activities include: Studying and promoting Irish history and culture; Catholic Action, visiting nursing homes, raising funds for the needy, promoting right to life etc., Missions, assisting the Columban missions; Community Involvement, environment etc., Social Activities, attending shows, concerts, visiting museums, historical sites as well as other social events. At the NATIONAL BIANNUAL CONVENTION Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians held in Foxwoods Resorts in June 2002, Junior Division 15 received the award for the “BEST JUNIOR DIVISION IN THE UNITED STATES”. This award is based on the Junior Divisions’ activities during the previous two years. The Division also received the award for the "JUNIOR HIBERNIAN OF THE YEAR" Mairead McInernia. Mairead has received many awards, including the "COLLEEN QUEEN OF THE GREAT IRISH FAIR" in 2001.

At the last NEW YORK STATE BIANNUAL CONVENTION of the LAOH held in Albany in July 2001 Junior Div. 15 received the “FIRST PLACE AWARD”. This award is based on the Junior Divisions’ activities during the previous two years.
At the last NATIONAL BIANNUAL CONVENTION of the LAOH held in Baltimore in July 2000 Junior Div. 15 was awarded “BEST JUNIOR DIVISION IN THE UNITED STATES”. This award is based on the Junior Divisions’ activities during the previous two years.
At the NATIONAL BIANNUAL CONVENTION of the LAOH held in Pittsburgh in July 1998 Junior Div. 15 was awarded “BEST JUNIOR DIVISION IN THE UNITED STATES”. This award is based on the Junior Divisions’ activities during the previous two years.
THE NEW YORK STATE BOARD, LADIES ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS at its State Convention in Albany, NY, July 1999 awarded “FIRST PLACE” to Junior Division 15, Whitestone. The Division was commended by members of the LAOH from around the state for its accomplishments and good example.
Junior Division 15, Whitestone was founded by Mrs. Bridget Kearney on November 1, 1987. The Installation ceremony took place in St. Mel’s Father O’Malley Hall.
Since then, the Division has received numerous first place awards from the National and State Boards of the LAOH and has been featured in many newspaper articles.
