I don't think anything brings more joy to a child, than the sound of running water. Whether it be in a tub, sink or brook. It will get them runnin' faster than a speedin' train.
Park the truck on the lawn, turn on the hose, little feet come runnin'. Add some bubbles and a sponge, you'll have company for a hour and than some.
Take a walk in the woods. Kids will hear the brook a mile away. Where a leaf becomes a boat, and a twig a ocean liner. There will be no dry feet today.
That puddle in the backyard, becomes a construction site. Where the big trucks rule, and matchboxs get buried. Before bedtime, a hosedown is required.
But is in the tub, with a mound of toys, that brings the most joy. Where bubbles become bunnyears, beards and mustashes. For now, theres no need to tell em, it's to get them ........................clean !!!!
