After winning against Milwaukee in overtime after a Latrell Sprewell 3 pointer with 7 seconds left in regulation, the Knicks lost two straight close games. One against the Timberwolves with a Sprewell prayer missing at the buzzer and then against the Cletics with Sprewell missing two free throws with 16 seconds left. Allan Houston is still playing extremely well averaging 23.9 points, good for 6th in the league. He did miss one of two free throws down the stretch against Minnesota that might have helped the Knicks get the W, but without him playing that well they wouldn't have even been in that position...Marcus Camby was limited to only 6 minutes against Boston with tendinitis in his left knee...Sprewell signed a 5 year extension on his contract that will pay him 62 million(very good management)...The Knicks released Herb Williams and signed 11 year veteran center Andrew Lang...Van Gundy signed a three year extension...The Knicks name Scott Layden the new GM...The Knicks sign John Wallace to a 3 year contract...The Knicks draft Frederic Weis but he will not play in the NBA this year.
I have a private Yahoo Fantasy basketball league, its completely free and really fun. I am going to do the draft within a week or two around November 10, so if you want to join email me and I will give you directions.
