Dmx (Earl Simmons) was born December 18, 1970 in Baltimore Maryland in the projects. His family knew that in the area they lived that he would get in trouble. So they moved to Yonkers New York with his Aunt. There he showed a talent in music. He was signed to Columbia Records where his first album was brought out called Born Loser. People Weren't feeling his skills then in 1996..so he had to come out with something rougher and harder. That's when he started appearing on artists songs such as LL cool J, John forte, The Lox , Ma$e and many more Just to make himself known cause we all know he is phat ALL BY HIMSELF. People were feeling him then so he knew He had to be phat as hell to keep peoples attention. That's when 98 came around and he brought out It's Dark and Hell is Hot was under Def Jams Records which sold 3 million copies by the way. Now he is one of the best rappers alive. He says he started rapping for the ladies and if he wasn't the best rapper right now he would have been stop rapping...BUT HE IS THE BEST.
