This webpage is for the purpose of locating the descendants of Peter and Catherine Windhausen who immigrated from Germany.
Peter and Catherine and their children arrived in New York on 18 January 1883. The ship's name was the S.S. DeRuyter that sailed from Antwerp, Belgium. Lore also indicates that Peter owned vineyards and was a wine maker. It has also been passed down that Peter was the mayor of the village where they lived.
If you believe you are a descendant of this family, email us. Also, if you have any information that you would like to share, please email us.
