Who is this masked man anyway?

This is the place where I blab about myself.  Why am I doing this, I guess the short answer is because I am a bit of a computer nerd. After all, would anyone but a computer nerd do this for the fun of it? I also happen to be a volunteer fireman, EMT, scuba diver, fireworks technician, photographer, and sound engineer. I might note that I do all of these for fun, none for a living. Actually now that I think about it, this is an artistic outlet for me of sorts.

You may have guessed from my main page, I am a Christian. I have been saved for 20 years now, and can say that the Lord is faithful even when I am not. Am I perfect? NO WAY... not even close. But, in Him, I am sanctified, and made perfect, because I am covered by His blood. You remember a song from the 60's titled "I never promised you a rose garden"? Well my life has been like that.  I have been through one struggle after another, but in Christ, I have found the strength not only to endure, but to thrive. Christ said "come to me all you who are heavy laden, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:30) He doesn't take anything away from us, but when we lay it at His feet, He takes the burden and carries it for us. I attend the North Country Christian Center, where I teach children's church and head up the sound ministry.

I live in the village of Saranac Lake NY. We aren't talking city here folks, Saranac Lake is in the middle of the Adirondack Park, the largest wilderness park east of the rockies. Saranac Lake was recently voted the number one small town in New York, the 11th best small town in the United States. I will be including Adirondack and Saranac Lake links on my home town page. Eventually, I hope to also have photos of the area, as well as a coming attractions calendar. I have traveled quite a bit, and can say that this is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever visited, so take a gander at the photos.

Other outside activities for me include the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, where I am currently serving as the Rescue Lieutenant. I am a NYS EMT-CC, a CPR instructor, and a NYS Certified Lab Instructor. I also sit on the Board of Directors for the High Peaks Rural Health Care Network, and am a founding member of SARNAC, the search and rescue team based out of this area. I am also a member of FREMSA, the agency which provides EMS first response and ALS coverage in the Saranac Lake area.
