About A Boy

"Perhaps it is the voyeur in me..." Said Richard J. Geib, presenting his Website.
"About A Boy" is a Good movie I saw this year (2002), Staring Hugh Grant (which I don't really sympathize).
"... Saying all that about myself in relation to this film, I have to say that this film does a good job at establishing some reasons why you need other people close to you in your life" (Epinions.com).

Every man is an island (A quote from the movie)- "Marcus comes to this revelation that life is about relationships and not possessions". I think the movie succeeded to deliver that strong message.
On my way back home I chanted those words, in order not to forget... & surf the net in search for similar ideas. Apparently, this sentence derives from a similar idea, which is " "No man is an island" Written John Donne, who says: "All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language...". Check this meditation & the two essential ideas. Interesting!
When I asked a special dear friend of mine, if she ever heard "No man is an island"... She told me about the song called: I am a Rock "...it says: i am a rock i am an island.. and at the end he says and a rock feels no pain, and an island never crys".
