Billie Tucker has been the heart of
New Rochelle Public Library for 22 years. Since she was hired to create a City Cultural Center at the Library in 1979 she has more than accomplished her mission,with last years's programs totaling more than 2400. In her early pursuits to provide a broad base of cultural activities for the community, she sought to bring opera to New Rochelle, which led her to Camille Coppola, who had been wanting to start her own company and NEW ROCHELLE OPERA was born.
In addition to her more than full-time work at the Library, Billie has been an active volunteer in the community for more than 30 years.
