Less Than Jake--"Greased"--No Idea Records

Let me start this by stating that Less Than Jake is the coolest band ever...with that now said, Less Than Jake did this 8 song album covering the songs from the famous movie and musical, "Grease". They did all the songs that everyone knows, such as "Summer Nights", which features fast punk and ska, with Roger and Chris dueting with the vocals, and other band members such as Jessica (the album was recorded before she left the band) helping out with certain vocals. Another great track is "We go together", which is a hyper skapunk song which has Roger doing most of the singing, although everyone in the band helps out again with a lot of the song...in the middle of the song, Roger and someone else in the band (Vinnie, I think..but not sure) have a bit of a sing off, singing scat-style. The other songs on the album are "Beauty School Dropout", "Blue Moon", "Greased Lightenin", "Hopelessly Devoted to You", "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee", and "You're the One That I Want". The only bad thing about this album is that there is almost no horns on any of the songs. Despite that, however, I give this hard-to-find album 5 out of 5 OI's....mark
