Car Seat Safety 2022

Do you know the laws regarding child safety seats? Are your kids in approved car seats? For more information, visit Governor's Traffic Safety Committee: Child Safety Seats or contact the Mt. Pleasant Police Youth Bureau.

Online Safety 2022

Social Networking websites and video chat websites are just some of the ways for teens to communicate over the internet. Kids can sign on and become members free of charge. These websites, such as Instagaram and Facebook, give young people the ability to post diaries, photos, videos, music, and personal information. Video chat sites such as ooVoo, Skype and Facetime are entertaining but lead to hurtful things being said and then re-posted on YouTube. Many teens are posting very specific personal information, creating the potential for danger.

For more information, visit the Wired Safety Website or contact the Mt. Pleasant Police Youth Bureau. Please contact us to set up a group or PTA presentation.
