Page at Pooh Corner. The Page at Pooh Corner is dedicated to the wonderful stories found in the books, Winnie-The-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner, written by A. A. Milne and illustrated by E. H. Shepard. These books were first published in the 1920s, and star the familiar characters of Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore, Christopher Robin, and Edward Bear, commonly known as Winnie-the-Pooh. PAL: Perspectives in American Literature. PAL, created by Paul P. Reuben of California State University at Stanislaus, is an online research and reference guide to the major movements and authors in American literature suitable for AP English students. Read to Me. Read to Me, sponsored by Starr Seigle Communications, is an online guide to reading aloud books to children from early childhood through sixth grade. Realist Wonder Society. The Realist Wonder Society, for grades K-8, provides online illustrated fairy tales by authors such as George MacDonald, Lord Dunsany, and Hans Christian Andersen. Realms of Gold. Voices & Visions Spotlight. Voices & Visions Spotlight, home page for the acclaimed PBS series on American poets, provides biographical information on the 13 poets featured, along with links to other poet sites. For example, you can "tour" Emily Dickinson's family home and browse through her letters and poems, or listen to Langston Hughes reading his Toast to Harlem poem. William Faulkner on the Web. William Faulkner on the Web provides a wealth of resources for the in-depth study of Faulkner in high school. The site features a library with commentaries, plot synopses, and links to additional information about Faulkner's written works.
