Welcome to the Music Page. Here you will be able to find an assortment of interesting lesson plans (all utilizing technology) to share with your students.


Musicland Theme Park - grades 5-8.
This is one in a series of Web Quest Projects developed to help teach students about, and gain a better appreciation for, different styles of music from jazz to rock and roll through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates history, social studies, and language arts into the learning.

An Individualized Music Lesson Using the World Wide Web
From the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, this lesson plan, appropriate for upper elementary/lower high school, uses the MIDI plug-in and the song, "the Lollipop Tree," to help explore such things as the different parts of a song. Using suggested music software with the page, students can continue on to explore other concepts.

Creating Compositions
From "Link 2 Learn," this intermediate level lesson has students learn about sound and sound patterns in music.

Fun with Music
From "Link 2 Learn," this primary level music lesson will have kids go online to play a Domino drum, and learn about instruments that they will make themselves.

Inter Music
From "Link 2 Learn," this middle school lesson has students write up their experience using interactive conference sites on original student music in the classroom.

Rocking Through the Ages
From "Link 2 Learn," high school students take a virtual tour around the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and write articles for a fictitious travel magazine.

Musical Keys
From "Link 2 Learn," this high school lesson has students experience a cyber piano lesson, then evaluate it using criteria they set.
