Letting Go
Situation: It begins the morning after Joey and Dawson's kiss in the last episode. Joey slept over at Dawson's after the kiss but they didn't do anything just sleeping.
Dawson looks peaceful for once in his life Joey thought. Besides the busride back from visiting my dad this is about the quietest I'll ever see him for the rest of my life.
I can't believe we kissed last night. It was so wonderful, even more than I imagined. It's like our two souls finally connected. It totally slipped my mind, I told Ms. Sommers that I
was going on the Paris trip. I can't give that up even though I finally have Dawson. Paris is a dream just like Dawson but only one can come true. Me and Dawson aren't going to work out,
he still cares about Jen. i couldn't face the hurt it would bring me if they got back together. I should write him a letter telling him I can't do this. Joey gets up from the bad being careful
not to wake Dawson and starts her letter.
Dear Dawson,
The friendship we shared with another will be in my heart forever. Before I came over last night I had done a lot of thinking and came to the conclusion that I was going to Paris. Well newsflash
Dawson I'm still going and last night didn't mean anything to me. I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way. I have to leave for the both of us. That kiss would just leave ur friendship akward and misunderstood.
Let's try to pretend the other doesn't exist until I return and then you can brutally lecture me.

Joey then left the letter upon Dawson gave him a kiss and ran out the window. A minute or so later Dawson woke up. "Joey I can't believe--, "said Dawson. Then he realized she wasn't beside him.
He then found the note and read it. He felt hurt and betrayed. Then he puit on his shoes and jacket and ran out looking for her. He looked for her al day calling out her name and recieving random looks from strangers.
He came home exhausted and heart broken as he waited in anticipation for school to sart the next day so he could talk with Joey.

"Joey," yelled Dawson and he ran to her from across the hall.
"Leave me alone Dawson," said Joey hurt and annoyed and walking away from him.
"Joey explain to me why?" asked Dawson.
"Dawson why do you always feel the need for an explanation. I don't feel as if I need to explain myself to you," said Joey.
"Joey last might meant more to me than anything and it meant something to you to," said Dawson.
"Get a clue Dawson, I don't have feelings for you. I'm leaving for Paris in a few days and would appreciate it if you left me alone," said Joey.
"Fine have it your way. You know what when you come back how about I leave you alone to and give you your space," said Dawson.
"Fine," said Joey.
"Fine and have a horribly lonely and pathetic existance," said Dawson.
"Go to hell Dawson," said Joey feeling hurt inside and feeling it is the best for her and Dawson to stay apart.
"Pacey what is going on with Joey. One minute she is kissing me passionately and then the next she treats me like I'm the plague," said Dawson.
"Tell me about it Dawson I mean when Joe and I were palying tonsil hockey she was into it but then she sideswips me for you. Go figure," said Pacey.
Dawson slides Pacey one of those don't go there looks and Pacey backs off.
"Here's some real advice Dawson. She's insecure maybe and she might think your one of the most conceided guys in the universe," said Pacey.
"Why would she think that? She is beautiful and smart and everything I ever wanted in a girl. She's the one for me," says Dawson and he realizes how deep his feelings are for Joey.
"Hmmm let's think shall we. I mean you were stuck on Jen there for a while and made everything about Jen and Joey must have gotten annoyed. Now you finally like her because you realizes she's pretty. I mean if I were a chick I wouldn't want you either bro," said Pacey.
"Well your not the chick for me anyway. If that's the way Joey feels than I have to find a way to get her back," said Dawson.
"Romance is key," said Pacey, "after all I know all about Joey and all."
"Shut-up man," said Dawson.
