We offer: Entertainment Law services with focus on music, television, CGI, and the internet.

Dave Kapp has lectured before students and lawyers on entertainment law, the recording industry, Napster, CGI, and using the internet to promote artists. Primary firm activity in entertainment law is contract review for music and video artists, composers and performers in the United States and in the Far East. We have recently established a small sports practice.

Years of experience as a top television executive bring a real-world insight into the needs of your business. We are experienced at contract drafting and negotiation of all kinds of entertainment contracts including record contracts, non-disclosure agreements, talent employment agreements, station affiliation agreements, studio/production/equipment lease agreements, satellite transponder agreements and much more.

Admitted to practice before The New York State Bar, The District of Columbia Bar, The U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, The Court of Federal Claims, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, The Florida Bar, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and The United States Supreme Court.

Most attorneys have little or no experience in the field outside their desks, and have never seen the inside of a soundstage, production house, satellite uplink, broadcast facility or recording studio. When you speak to other law firms, ask them...

  • how many TV networks they've launched and managed?
  • how many studios they've run?
  • how many shows they have developed and produced?
  • have they ever done commercial production?
  • how much they know about shooting, editing, post production and network operations?
  • what they know about 3D graphics, animations and video effects?
  • what experience they have with network, fiber optics and satellite engineering?
  • How many hundreds of hours have they spent with new digital recording studios?
When was the last time they reviewed a contract from Japan, Singapore, or Indonesia?

btw, like the cute little graphics?,the 3-D animations on this page? Think other lawyers can do this stuff? They can't, but we do it all from scratch, including everything on this website. sweet.
