Two special boys that are looking for forever homes.
We just know that sometimes, one of our companions needs a home tailored to his personality. I am not so selfish to think that I am the perfect home for every dog.
GUNNER
Gunner is a stunning dog. Beautiful coat. Gorgeous head. He would make a top-notch show dog…. except for one thing. He does not like the show ring. He is a one family dog. Doesn’t particularly like strutting his stuff. So why should we make him? Gunner is used to other dogs. He would make a great family companion. We would like to see him remain intact. He is super sweet, but like many curlies, takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers. Just because a Curly acts like a curly… you can’t fault him! Gunner is a typical curly. And a typical curly hates the show ring! Tell me, what is fun about the show ring? Compared to hunting, swimming, digging in the garden, or laying on the couch? Nothing! So, Gunner hates the show ring. 99% of the time, that is not a big deal fior a dog. Just because Gunner is so stunning, a great example of the breed.... and we wanted to show him… oh, well. Ain’t Gunna happen! ;-) If you think you are the right home for Gunner, please drop us a line.
Sampson
Sampson Sampson is a finished AKC Champion. He is OFA hips clear, OFA cardiac clear. CERF eyes clear GSDIIIa clear. And EIC clear. Sampson is out of very strong hunting lines. His father Jet, is a Master Hunter. His mother is a super birdy dog, whose father Tarras is a Field Trial Champion in Sweden. Sampson has a lot of potential. When you breed a dog, you can’t always find the home that will bring out the most a dog has to offer. We kept Sampson because we saw that potential. He finished his Championship easily. Had all of the health clearances the CCRCA expects, and then some! He needs to be in a home that can challenge his high intellect. We would want to see him kept intact. He would be a great dog for an up and coming Jr handler. Or someone who wants to do some hunting. He would be great in agility, or Rally. If we can’t find the perfect home for Sampson, we will simply keep him. He is a great dog, and could benefit from the right kind of home who is looking for a dog that can do it all.
This is a dog I want to use in my breeding program. But I am not so selfish that I want to keep him on a back burner until I am ready to use him! He is an intelligent dog, and needs stimulation. If you are the right home, and agree to share your life with him, and also agree that I can possibly breed him to the right bitch a few years down the road. Please, let us know you are interested.
