about Sylvanus Thayer will soon be printed. No records show he instituted
the U.S. system of "Generals" from General Wm. Boothe of The
Salvation Army. The U.S. 9 cent Postage [GREEN inked] Stamp has Sylvanus’
picture! Tours continue at the WEST POINT Academy, NY where his statue and
burial place are well known. Next Year's 2001 reunion was at The Thayer
