butchery

Butchery is a five piece death metal band
from the underbowels of Long Island.
The band consists of April Taylor (vocals), Doug Randazzo (guitar), Rich Hervey (drums), Sam Lara (guitar), and Eric Sandalic (bass).

Earlier versions of Butchery began in 1993 as Exuviate, when Doug and Rich began jamming together with other musicians in the local Death Metal scene. After continuous disappointing line-up changes, they finally found Sam in 1995 through an ad in a local music store. Originally the bands singer, Sam was also a beginning guitarist and quickly became the bands second guitar player. In 1996, the name was changed to Sanguinary Carnage, and the trio was in search of a steady bassist. After yet another disappointing search, the band finally found ex - Extra Hot Sauce guitarist Eric Sandalic who made the conversion to bass.
By 1997, Sanguinary Carnage had a dozen songs and began recording a demo. It was at this time that Sam made the decision to quit vocals and concentrate on playing guitar full-time. Around this point, new singer Keith Cerrito joined the band but left a short time later due to personal obligations. Soon afterwards the band found April, whose voice was totally insane. After hearing her scream like she was posessed by an unearthed forsaken demon, the band knew they had found their new singer.
The name was changed to Butchery....and the rest is history.

Butchery is currently looking to line up shows around the country while shopping for a label.

Spread the word.....soon you will feel our pain!
