After realizing the reason behind Wagner's lost opera Gabriel and Grace devise a plan to catch vonGlower and destroy him.Inviting him to a performance of the lost Wagner opera and trapping him in his seat, the music begins.
vonGlower begins to feel the change coming on him and tries to escape. The door is locked so he jumps from the balcony and into the crowd of theater attendants. He races to the basement where he is trapped by an also changed Gabriel.
As the Baron tries to leap for freedom past Grace and Inspector Lieber, Gabriel charges and sends the black wolf into the blazing furnace where he is destroyed.
