Objective

To strengthen women development in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.



When was it founded?

The East African Finance Development Network is a program of the African American Future Society. The African American Future Society is a not for profit 501(c)3 registered in the State of New York, USA.

The East African Finance Development Network was created in 1996 as Mr. Anderson, the President of the African American Future Society was working with women led organizations and women candidates in the Kenyan Parliamentary Elections of 1996.

Mr. Anderson found women in East Africa were in need of financial assistance and Mr. Anderson and African American Future society is focusing on women's development needs and concerns through this progam.



Goals

  1. To develop a financial support network for women based organization throughout East Africa.
  2. To develop linkages information and communications network that will aid women development.
  3. To develop an East African Finance Development Network Directory.



What do women get out of this?

The East African Finance Development Network offers women development programs in East Africa, fundraising strategies, marketing, public relations advice, image development, business plan development, linkages with UN agencies and international donors as well individual philanthropists.



How much it all cost?

The cost is a minimal and is based in the currencies of East Africa; Kenyan, Uganda, and Tanzania a minimal cost of US$600.00.



Why should I join?

The East African Finance Development Network is a new concept in fundraising strategies as a result of a new concept on fundraising strategies as a result of international conferences of the United Nations' Agenda 21 and the Women Beijing Platform.

The East African Finance Development Network offers seminars and training programs at no additional cost to our clients who wish to take advantage to our programs. We will ensures that your staff will ableto continue the work that we started and will be equipped with all the tools to:
  1. Manage a successful international fundraising, public relations, marketing, campaign.
  2. Develop and write effective business plans.
  3. Train other women in finance development.
