Larry Johnson

Larry Johnson (formally known as Grandmama) is 6-7 and is a small forward for the Knicks. Larry attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, graduating in 1991. Larry was born in March 14th 1969.

Larry is a eight year veteran. Larry was not only the first draft pick in 1991, but was 1992's Rookie of the Year, averaging 19.2 and 11.0 he also made All-Rookie Team that very same year; and All-NBA Second Team in 1993. He was a NBA All -star. He also finishing second in the 1992 slam-dunk competition.

From 1978 to 1992 Larry Boxed for the Police Athletic Boxing League. He was voted Most Likely to Succeed by his high school class. Larry and his wife have three children, Lance, Lasani and Larry Demetric Jr. Larry owns a hair salon called 06001 Salons in Charlotte.

Larry plays small forward, but before he became a Knick he was a power forward. Larry is a well-rounded player. He has a nice shooting touch, passes the ball to his teammates, and is a leader on the floor and in the locker room.

Most people will forever associate Larry's Knicks days with his four-point-play with just tenths of a second left in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indian Pacer. That shot verify that there was something magical happen with this team that no one could stop.
