The Drum Circle Singers started in January of 1992. At that time we were known as The Drum Circle for the North Eastern Native American Association.This is a communtity based organization based in Queens New York with more than 400 members representing 26 nations throughout North Central South America and the Caribbean. The group itself is a Southern Style group, meaning that the songs sung are performed in lower registers. In addition to Drum Songs,the group also performs songs and dances of Native peoples of the Eastern Woodlands.

The core members of the group are of SEMINOLE, TAINO, MAYAN/AZTEC,APACHE,ALEUT,and CHEROKEE ancestry. Since 1992,The Drum Circle Singers have performed at numberous educational venues,community functions throughout the State of New York,on WBAI-FM in New York City and has served as Host and/ or Invited Drum at Pow Wows and Native American Festivals in New York,Pennsylvania,Conneticut,Rhode Island and Massachusettes.
