Update From the Editor-11/01/98
Hello Fellow Collectors, I went to the East Coast Toy Soldier Show today. I only got a couple of hours of sleep(my head was killing me all night) and was walking around the show like a zombie. I saw some of the dealers from my link page(ATS Toy Soldiers, Landers, Michigan Toy Soldier and Figure Co. and I missed some, sorry Paul) I spent about a Hundred dollars on figures, mostly Airfix and picked up a few books. I took a quick walk around the place and then stopped at a few places that I thought would have something I wanted. Lastly I walked around and stopped at every table to have a look. I fell in love with the New Britains Series, that should be out at the end of the year. The detail on the Paint jobs are Excellent(I will talk about these some more later). The place was real busy and there was something for everybody. I will be add more links and some more pics on the Airfix section, Plus some more detail on the show, got to get some rest. Yours Truly, Mike.

Hello Fellow Collectors, the first thing I would like to talk about is the EAST COAST TOY SOLDIER
SHOW & SALE. If you live in the NJ, NY, PA and CT area you have to come to this show. I went to this show last year and it was great. There were over two hundred dealers and loads of soldiers. I have only gone to a couple of shows, but this one is mostly toy soldiers. I will be posting a review about the show after I attend it. Ok enough about the show and to my next topic, E-bay. I have ordering some books, toy soldiers and other things from here. Most of it has been good, but some bad. Just be cafeful.
I have been trying to built up my Airfix collection lately. Mostly on the W.W.II area. I am still looking for a few items and started painting some Japanese infantry. Finding the right color for the uniforms was a real pain. I also picked up the new D-day Playset by BMC. The accessories are nice, but the figures are not. The German and American heads and helmets are out of place. Ok enough for now, Yours Truly, Mike.
Update From the Editor-9/14/98
Hello Fellow Collectors, I have added some dates for shows to the page. BMC has finally released there D-day set. From what I have heard,(as I have not seen it yet) The Playset is Great. But the soldiers could have been better. Maybe they were rushed into putting out the set? I just picked up some soldiers. Here they are, Imex American Civil War Union and Confederate Cavalry, Hat French Dragoons and Revell German Pioneers and British Paratroops; all in 1:32 scale(except Revell, 1:35 scale). The Imex soldiers are a little bigger and the Hat soldiers are a little smaller than there other sets. Horse are good and Imex sells them separate. I like the Revell sets, The British Paratroops are not to my liking, The molds look over used and they figures are bland! I think they are Matchbox recasts. On the other hand, I did like the German figures. They are about the same and the British(quality wise), but there poses are unique. The poses range from two soldiers with paddles in a raft, one with wire cutters prone, two others with pick and shovel, running with mines, mine detector, officer pointing/holding map, two explosives guys with one carrying detention and the other controlling a miniature looking tank. The Votes are in, and the winner is Marx. I had some fun with this, too bad my favorite didn't win:(. OK for now Yours Truly, Mike.
