My Story
My name is Katie Moses.
I am a female adoptee searching for my birth family.
During my search I met up with, someone dear
to me-she is a Birth mother who has found her Birth
son, she suggested I create my own Web. site.
so here I am.
I was born in Rochester, NY on 7/9/69.
I may have been born at Rochester General. I'm not sure
though. I was adopted through North haven(then) Hillside
Children's Center (now). I was told my Birth mother was
between the age of 14-17 when she had me. I just recently
obtained my medical record's from Hillside:
My Birth mother was also adopted as an infant. Her health
has been good. She's allergic to animal hair, goldenrod,
ragweed, dust, pollen, and Tetanus.
I don't want to upset her life or cause her any problems,
I just want her to know I'm looking for her and hope she
wants to be found and that includes the rest of my Birth
family, also. If she/they don't want to be found I would
understand but without finding her/them I won't know the
answer. Till then I'll have to keep searching away. I'm
having fun looking away. I've met alot of nice people in
my search and I would like to Thank them all for being
there for me and helping me along the way!
I would also like to Thank my Adopted family for ALL there
support and for being with me threw this.
That is it for now till I get a little further and can ADD
some more.
Update: I found my Birthfamily on the Internet on Jan 2nd '98
I met them all on Jan. 3rd '98. What a "wonderful" bunch
I found. To anyone who is not sure about wanting to search in
fear of rejection they wanted to be "found" as bad as I wanted
to find them. This Sunday the 2 families will meet. I'll have to
post the experience. We are all nervous and excited.
