OK, so of course there a couple of rules you gotta observe when you go into the ROAR chat room. PLEASE take the time to read these rules.
1)Please refrain from using offensive words or terms. This includes swear words and religious or racial slurs.
2)No harassing anyone. If you are harassed, please notify us.
3)No scrolling. This is when you use multiple lines and repeat the same words over and over. This is the most annoying thing in the universe. Just don't do it.
4)No polling. This is when you say something like, "If you like Green Day press 333."
5)For your safety, no information more specific than the state you live in should be given out. Keep the school you go to, your phone number, your last name, your street address, your passwords, etc., private.
6)Try to keep the topics of conversation within reason. This doesn't mean you shouldn't bring up all sorts of interesting topics, but just try to think if it is appropriate. Sex is an OK topic if it is handled with maturity. We really appreciate your using your best judgement with this one. Please voice your concerns to others if you think the topic is inappropriate.
7)Last but not least, about booting... Though at least one of them will always be there for arranged chat meets, Erin and Mira cannot always be around to chaparone the chat room. The chat room is set so that a person can be "booted" for 10 minutes if 3 or more people decide it is appropriate. In the event that a person feels that they have been unfairly booted, please notify us and let us know what happened and the screen name(s) and/or e-mail address(es) of yourself and those who booted you. We will follow up on ALL of these letters with all persons involved to get the whole story. Please note that we can ban you from the chat room if you disrupt the chat room too many times or unfairly boot someone more than once. To prevent misunderstandings, you may want to notify us if you boot someone in case they e-mail us. Please include the screen names and e-mail addresses of the other two who helped you boot, and the booted person.
