Hi! This is a Tom Everett Scott Web Page! I am new at this, so it's probaly not the best page there is. Anyway, I try! I will try to updated the page as much as I can. I don't have much rigt now, but I soon hope to have more! Right now I have a Bio on Tom Everett Scott, some News, some interviews, & a few links. Well, keep checking & enjoy! Bio ******************************************** Tom Everett Scott was born in 1970, is 6'2", and was raised in East Bridgewater, MA., where he was the 3rd of 4 children, of a father who is a civil engineer, and his mother an insurance saleswoman. He acted in high school plays, but Tom planned to quit acting, and take a more serios look at the world. So, he enrolled in communications at Syracuse University in 1988. During his sophomore year he says "I went down to the theater and saw everthing going on-people jumping around being idiots-and I thought, 'This is my home. This is where I should be.'" So, Tom switched his major to drama, and upon graduating, he moved to New York City. There, he waited tables, and eventually founded a theatre company. News ******************************************** Tom Everett Scott was mostly known for his role as Guy Patterson, a.k.a. Shades, a.k.a. Spartacus, a.k.a. Skitch in Tom Hanks' movie "That Thing You Do". Tom also makes appearances on ABC's sitcom "Grace Under Fire" as Grace's adopted son. He made an appearance on the soap opera "Another World" and also on "Law and Order". He also stars in "An American Werewolf in Paris" which is scheduled to be released on December 12th. He has a serious relationship with his girlfriend Jenny Gallagher (very lucky girl Jenny is). He resides in New York City, and I am working on looking for an available address for him to ask for his autograph. It mentions on the Internet Movie Database that Tom starred in "Dead Man on Campus" with Mark Paul Gosselaar, formerly from "Saved By The Bell." Does anyone know anything about this and has anyone seen it? He appeared on the Letterman Show on 12/16, and Tom is now a married man. He married his girlfriend Jenny Gallagher on Saturday, December 13th in the Cayman Islands. He mentioned that he is currently in the works of a movie with Meryl Streep, in which he plays her son. Interviews****************************************** An Interview with Tom Everett Scott in YM Magazine: MOVIE PICK: An American Werewolf in Paris He made sure Liv Tyler was "good and kissed" in last year's pop-band flick "That Thing You Do," but don't expect Tom Everett Scott to dish the details. "It would be ungentlemanly of me to elaborate,," he says coyly. This month, Tom stars with Julie Delpy in "An American Werewolf in Paris." Recently YM sat down with him over coffee near his New York City apartment. Q. How different are you from the sweeties you've played on screen? A. "Not very. I usually get cast as this good-hearted guy who's just trying to do the right thing. That's pretty much what I'm like." Q. Was Liv Tyler your first on-screen kiss? A. "No, the first one was for an after-school special. The director insisted that it be a no-tongue kiss, which was fine with me." Q. Do you get followed by packs of following fans? A. "No, but I get recognized in strange places. One girl came up to me at the baggage claim in the airport. That was pretty cool." Q. Ever done anything really silly to get a crush's attention? A. "In junior high, I don't know why, but I'd call up a girl and say, 'Hi, is uh, Missy there?' and she'd say, 'Yes, this is Missy.' And then I'd hang up." Q. What was your worst first date? A. "Any time I've gone to a movie for a first date, it's been bad." Interview InStyle Magazine-November 97 Anita Sarko Tom Everett Scott, star of An American Werewolf In Paris Best Friend: "Dutch, a 2-year-old boxer. He's the coolest animal I ever met." What he does under a full moon: "When the moon's coming up and it's really big, I just stop everything and stare at it. I don't sprout hair or howl." On the prowl: "I like the Lower East Side of Manhattan, but I don't frequent any particular bars-I just pop in and out depending on where my friends want to go. I like to catch live music when I can. My favorite cocktail is a Stoli martini." What drive him wild: "My girl. I had a crush on her right when I saw her. She has long wavy brown hair and brown eyes. That drives me crazy. And her laugh! She's so funny. She's got a great sense of humor." Biggest misconception women have about men: "When a guy's not talking, I'm afraid women think we're thinking awful things about them, when we're probably thinking, Do I feel like a Coke or Pepsi? or Do I feel like watching a sports show or going to bed? Nothing important."
