This website is here because my husband and I love our dogs. We are very proud of them. We are located in beautiful Upstate New York. We own miniature wirehaired, miniature smooth and standard smooth dachshunds. We are hobbyist/show exhibitors. I am a registered nurse, my husband is a retired project manager/cabinetmaker. We are not professional breeders who rely upon puppy sales for a living. We are no longer breeding. We compete in AKC & UKC conformation shows and performance events. All of our dachshunds are registered by the AKC , American Kennel Club and the UKC United Kennel Club .

We have no puppies available and no plans for future litters at this point in time. However, we will help with referring you to good reputable breeders who breed for correct, sound, functional dachshunds. We do have several adult mini wirehaired females we would love to place into select, loving homes. If you are interested please email. We will not ship dogs.

The History

Hannah's Dachshunds started in 1991 with my first show dog, Mavis, a mini wire female. She produced my first home-bred and completely owner-handled AKC Champion, CH. HANNAH'S KISS ME KATE-MW, CGC/TDI, Katie . Here are some more dachshunds we showed in the past to their championships. Some are still with us, others have gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

Joanne is a member of The Dachshund Club of America. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
Joanne & Darryl are both members of The Dachshund Club of Greater Syracuse, The National Miniature Dachshund Club. also approved United Kennel Club Conformation judges.
