I'm 41 and I'm the proud Mom of two awesome people which you will find out about when you continue reading. I've been a single parent for just about 8 years now. Needless to say, the years have been challenging. We've had our ups and downs, but we try very hard to work as a team.
A BIT ABOUT ME...
Well I work full time at a University. Although I'm an Office Assistant there, my job consists of many different things, which has really made me grow and learn so many different things. My place of employment is centered around promoting acceptance and inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of life.
Outside of work, besides spending time with my children, I love to read! I am a very avid book reader and was known once for starting with the A's at the library and working my way to the Z's. I also love music! I pretty much listen to all kinds of music, except for country music. I do however like some of the newer country, but that's about it. I'm also known for listening to a lot of the same music my kids like, which tends to amaze their friends - `cept for rap of course - some of it's okay, but it's not my favorite!
I also love to draw and sketch, do crossword puzzles, work on the computer, I collect sea shells and Santas, am fascinated with the solar system and just love nature. No I'm not a nature lover - but I just love to pay attention to my surroundings. Which brings me to absolutely LOVE camping! No TV, no phones... just the outdoors and so much to see and do!
There's other stuff I really like, but I won't bore you with everything!

Mike is my first-born. He's 19 and he stands right around 6' 2" tall. Mike loves music, basketball, football, wrestling (has played all 3 sports), skatboarding and extreme skating. He has a heart of gold and he is the jokester in the family! Mike is doing many things with his life right now and he's grown into quite the young man!

Chrissy is my youngest and last child at 18. She is known for the most gorgeous blue eyes you can imagine! All throughout school - she has won many awards because of her eyes! The expressions on her face will make tears roll down your face from laughing! One year in school she had to memorize only one poem and ended up memorizing all the other kids' poems and believe me, for 2 weeks straight I ended up knowing them all too!
Well that is us!! *smile*
