A Call To Arms
The City of Wells Office Staff*, Parents and Families, Wells Rural Electric Company**, The Community of Wells, Nevada and WNOL-Wells, Nevada ON LINE proudly present this page in Honor of our locals who have addressed the 'Call to Arms' and unselfishly serve our Nation and the Military Branches to which they are attached.

The concept and construction of this tribute was primarily a collective effort of the City Office Staff (*): Cathy Severeid, Sheri Justis, Sue Smith and Jolene Supp. Lead by Cathy Severeid, this group of ladies volunteered their time and paid for this display out of their own pockets.
Contacts were made to the families who had members serving in the military and they were more than happy to contribute the photos and stats that appear here. Some of these gentlemen and ladies are currently stationed in Iraq and Kuwait, some are finally on their way back stateside and still others are stationed elsewhere throughout the U.S. and the world.

After experiencing this display at the WREC Offices the staff of WNOL requested permission from the City Staff to make their presentation available on line. This page alone took three weeks for us to develop, but, we must respectfully direct all credit towards these ladies for if not for their efforts in the first place this particular page would not have been possible.

(**) Mr. Steve Enos, (WREC), was asked to scan these photos and send them to our offices for online publication. Thanks Steve - you did a really great job!

FYI: This page has been locked, therefore, right-clicking will only give you a nice message. If you would like to have any of the photos that appear here please contact:

NOTES:
We have received requests to include links on this page for subjects which pertain to our military, past/present, history, POW's and MIA's, and so forth. What better place to carry this information than right here. We will be placing these links in the right column as we receive them.
The reason we decided to honor this request is in hopes that the mistakes of the past, the misunderstandings between our government, the Armed Forces, the media and our very people are not repeated.
Through this information and/or the links provided that all who visit here will learn what many veterans will carry within them for the rest of their lives...and through them, it is also hoped that others will come to some understanding of the sacrifices that were made, and still are, by those who put their lives on the line to insure that you and yours could sleep warm and comfortable in your beds at night.

Remember:
"A prisoner's chains are heavier than a soldier's pack".
