Taking direction from the Tribal Chairman, the Tribal Council and finally the Bureau of Indian Affairs (B.I.A.) we are here to assist every tribal member.
It should be understood by all Tribal Members that the Tribal Police cannot choose sides in any dispute or grievance, and that, Tribal Police Officers are to remain neutral in such cases to insure that everyone is served fairly by the Tribal Constitution and Tribal Law and with the highest respect in all issues at all times. Tribal Police Officers cannot be compromised because of their relationship(s) with any Tribal Member or their Families least they put everyone in jeapordy and the Tribe at large in harms way.
The Wells Band Colony Tribal Police is dedicated to the full effort of maintaining an open line of communication with all Colony Members and Residents. We are the Peace Keepers with all matters pertaining to the prevention of incidents that may disturb the tranquility of this colony and its members and/or residents; to initiate tribal law and perform its enforcement in order to secure that Peace & Sovereignty of the entire Wells Band Colony is insured.
