~ ALL ARE WELCOME WHO COME THIS WAY. PLEASE, ENTER. ~
The Wells Band Colony is one of several Te-Moak Tribes of Western Shoshone located in Northeastern Nevada. It is protected by the 1863 Ruby Valley Treaty of Peace and Friendship. This treaty, having never been ratified, least one entry in 1867 by President U.S. Grant, stands to this day by and through the Articles of the United States Constitution as the Law of the Land.
For those of you who may be new travelers along this way or even return travelers, please understand that the Western Shoshone Nation of Newe Sogobia has never ceded any of it's lands and still holds all legal possession of these lands as agreed in the Treaty of 1863 with the United States of America.
At the time of this treaty Nevada was not a state but a territory. If you are one who fully appreciates the U.S. Constitution and understands it's content then you should be aware that no territory applying for statehood can or may include within it's state boundries or borders any lands or territories that are or were previously held by a valid and recognized treaty. In addition, may not possess or claim them as their own. Such is the case with Newe Sogobia, the United States and the State of Nevada.
